At NICU Nutrition, our mission is to combat the critical healthcare disparities faced by preterm infants and their mothers. We are dedicated to promoting and facilitating breastfeeding, especially among preterm infants, to improve their overall health and well-being
Our Vision
We envision a world where breastfeeding is universally supported and exclusive breastfeeding through six months becomes the norm for premature infants, exceeding the national average.
Our Philosophy
Our vision includes narrowing the racial/ethnic disparity in breastfeeding initiation, aiming for equity across the United States. In our vision, preterm infants, despite their vulnerabilities, have every opportunity to benefit from expressed breastmilk, reducing their risk of mortality, infections, and gastrointestinal complications.
